Our Genesis
A Journey from Aspiration to Realization
LA NPDT started in 2015. Konstantin Dolgan and Onega Ulanova, both from Kazakhstan, met before coming to Louisiana. While pursuing their graduate degrees at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, they saw how many good ideas stalled between a sketch and a manufacturable product.
They built the company around that gap: engineering depth first, then the design, prototyping, and manufacturing support needed to actually ship.
The company is still based in Ruston, and the work reaches far past it. Our clients build in Louisiana, across the United States, and overseas — consumer products, medical devices, sporting goods, industrial equipment, and defense-adjacent R&D.

How a project actually runs day to day, from the first call to the production handoff.
- 01We listen before we designThe first sessions are about your users, your budget, your volume, and your deadline. We write those constraints down and design against them, instead of returning a beautiful concept you cannot afford to build.
- 02We work in short SCRUM cyclesWork runs in sprints with a defined deliverable at the end of each one — a CAD review, a simulation result, a printed prototype. You see progress in weeks, not at the end of a long silent phase.
- 03We stay transparent about cost and riskIf a feature will blow up your tooling cost or your certification path, you hear it early, with the trade-off spelled out. You own the CAD, the drawings, and the intellectual property throughout.
