A new product launch marketing plan sequences your assets and channels so demand exists the day your product can ship — not months after.

On this engagement we built the full launch package: positioning, launch assets, campaign calendar, and the storefront and content to capture demand when it arrived.

The challenge

SaferUnion™- Logo design by LA New Product Development Team. Product launch animation and marketing strategy included.
R&H Machine took on the task to change the whole industry mindset about unsafe practices associated with using hammer unions. The client presented us with the challenge of developing and executing a new product launch marketing plan. This included creating a corporate identity, visuals, marketing materials, presentations, and a website to deliver their message to potential customers. These materials will be used at numerous conferences, product pitches, and presentations. This marketing strategy for a new product launch is all to showcase the SaferUnion™ to the largest players in the Oil and Gas market. The first presentation was actually within a week from the project start. Therefore, we had to work fast and deliver most of the project within a week.

Our solution

We started the new product launch marketing plan by creating the visual materials. This included 3D renderings and animation of the SaferUnion™, the logo, and a video commercial for the product. Then, we moved to developing the content for brochures, a white paper, a case study, and a PowerPoint presentation. Knowing that the end user is interested in the technical specification of the product and how the product works. We made sure to include all this information using industry terminology in the marketing strategy for the new product launch. It took a significant amount of analysis of the test reports, publications, technical notes to develop clear and concise content. We started to design the website as soon as we had the visuals. Click the following link about Ohio8.vchecks.io to check out R&H Machine’s website. We also 3D printed several promo samples that the company was able to present to their potential customer.

The result

Our team developed the proper new product launch marketing plan that highlights R&H Machine’s mission of delivering custom and quality solutions to their customers. We are proud to say that we could create a video commercialfor SaferUnion within 24 hours. The website we built as part of the marketing strategy for a new product launch contains up-to-date information about the company and their products and services. Moreover, visitors have an opportunity to examine SaferUnion in a virtual reality setting.

Engineering-led launches usually skip the argument

Technical products get launched with a spec sheet and hope. SaferUnion replaced a familiar piece of equipment, so the plan had to answer a specific objection — why change something crews already know how to use — before it talked about features. We built the messaging around the failure mode being eliminated, then produced assets that told that story identically online, on paper and at the booth.

What the launch included

A positioning document set the language, a 3D animation demonstrated the mechanism, and a focused website carried the same claims with a clear inquiry path. Trade show graphics and leave-behinds reused the same visuals, so a buyer who saw the booth and later searched the product landed on a consistent message.

Frequently asked questions

What belongs in a new product launch marketing plan?

Positioning and proof, target accounts, the asset list, a channel and timeline sequence, and a defined way to capture and route inquiries.

Do you handle both strategy and production?

Yes. We write the plan and then produce the animation, website and print pieces it calls for.

How early should launch work start?

Begin while tooling is being cut — roughly three to four months before first shipments — so assets exist when sales starts calling.

Capabilities used on this project

  • Rapid prototyping services

3D printing, CNC machining, urethane casting and functional prototype builds with published materials, tolerances and lead times.

Anatomy of a product launch plan

  1. 1. Position before you promote

Who it is for, what it replaces, and why it wins — one sentence each. Every later asset inherits these answers; skipping this step produces pretty marketing that says nothing.

  2. 2. Build assets from the engineering

Renderings, video and photography can all be produced from prototype and CAD work you already paid for. Launch visuals should be a byproduct of development, not a separate invention.

  3. 3. Warm the audience before launch day

A landing page collecting emails, teaser content, and early-bird offers build a list of buyers before the product ships. Launch day should be a harvest, not an announcement into silence.

  4. 4. Sequence the channels

Email list first, then owned social, then paid against proven messages. Paid spend amplifies what already converts; it cannot rescue a message nobody responds to.

Questions about this project

Straight answers from the engineers who ran the build. Have a different question? Ask us directly.

Talk to an engineer
How much does a product launch marketing plan cost?

A positioning-and-plan engagement typically runs $3,000 to $10,000; full execution with assets, video and campaign management scales with scope.

When should launch marketing start?

During development, not after. The prototype phase produces the visuals the launch needs, and audience building should start months before the product ships.

Do I need a big budget to launch a product?

No — a warm email list of a few hundred genuinely interested people outperforms a cold ad blitz for most new physical products. Sequence beats spend.
