Evera set out to fight single-use plastic by launching an innovative bottle that could conveniently replace disposables but they needed help turning early sketches into a durable, manufacturable, sustainability-focused product that would stand out in a crowded market.

LA NPDT transformed the concept into a production-ready design: iterative product design and refinement, material selection (food-grade stainless steel, plastics, and rubber), engineering for durability and usability, and design for manufacturability to scale efficiently always with sustainability at the core.
Outcome
The Evera Bottle emerged as a practical “planet-saving device,” replacing an estimated 1,054 single-use items per user annually (156 bottles + 114 utensils), and earning multiple recognitions for founder Steffek Rainey and the venture.
MEDICAL DEVICE: LEIA CUP
Redefining Sustainable Period Care
PROBLEM:
Many menstrual products overlooked people with a low cervix or weakened pelvic floor, while disposables kept piling up in landfills. LEIA needed an inclusive, sustainable solution and a path from idea to manufacturable product.
Process
Partnering with OB/GYN Dr. Elena Dolgan, LA NPDT led market analysis, iterative design, and over 50 prototypes. The team engineered a medical-grade silicone cup with a special coating for a soft, velvet-like feel, and leveraged an FDA-registered manufacturing setup to move efficiently into production.
Outcome
The LEIA menstrual cup delivers comfortable, inclusive fit and long life of up to 15 years, potentially preventing about 4,500 single-use items from reaching landfills per cup.

Making Nursing Easier with the MultiNix Multitool
PROBLEM:
RNvention had an early prototype of a nursing multitool but needed it transformed into a practical, durable device that added features, met safety expectations, and could stand up to real clinical use.
Process
We reimagined the design from sketches to detailed 3D CAD, built and tested multiple prototypes, and gathered iterative feedback from nurses to refine usability, durability, and tool placement. Our team engineered for manufacturability and supported the path to production and licensing.

Traditional nail clipping stresses dogs and owners. De’ Vora needed to turn grooming into play with a safe, durable toy that actually files nails, is easy to manufacture, and can scale to retail.

We partnered from concept through production: engineered a multi-use toy that blends treat dispenser with abrasive filing surfaces, prototyped and tested multiple iterations for durability and safety, optimized for manufacturability, transitioned to production with FDA-approved, eco-friendly materials, and drove cost optimization for competitive pricing.
