The SaferUnion Torque Wrench (wrench) is specifically designed to allow the SaferUnion Nut to apply a predefined torque value to a pipe connection. This prevents a connection from being under-torqued, which would allow the union to come loose and leak. It also prevents a connection from being over-torqued, which would cause unnecessary stress and fatigue on the union components, and prematurely wear them out, or damage the threads on the equipment.
