Take It To The Next Level

Congratulations! You followed the 3D Ideation Process outlined in the
Realizr™ and thought through the details, developing the idea as you went.

Slide

It is no longer a random thought, but a well-designed, detail-oriented idea that has a good chance of being turned into a product. We hope the Realizr™ brought value to you as you worked to maximize your idea.

But now what? Who makes that product? What needs to be done before the product is made? How much is this going to cost me? Do I need an investor?

Let’s take a look at how that product idea is turned into an actual physical product – one that you can touch, feel, and sell.

Take your Idea to the Next Level

The Road to Product Development

You’ve already taken the next step, just by visiting this page. Whether you have decided to move forward through the process, or are still considering your options, let us help you understand the processes that bring your product idea through to fruition, and allow you to achieve your dream of sharing your product with the world. You’ve come so far, by following your initial thought through the idea process. Here’s what happens next.

PRODUCT DESIGN

The next natural step in the process is to focus on the product design. Product design is a critical step in the product development lifecycle. This is where engineers figure out how to eliminate those nuances you found. A good design:

  • Attracts more customers, giving you an edge on your competition.
  • Differentiates you from your competition.
  • Makes life easier and more comfortable for your consumer.
  • Ensures your product offers overwhelming value.
  • Elevates your brand.

The product design process includes the following steps:

  • Creation of CAD (computer-aided design) images
  • Creation of virtual models
  • Market Research
  • Industrial and Product Engineering

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much will it cost?

Each project starts with a free consultation. We then provide an estimate for each project. You pay what is quoted. We believe you should only pay for the end result, so we don’t charge additional hourly fees or any hidden fees.

How long will it take?

Every project is different and depending on the required resources and complexity of the project, can take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years. Before working on your project, we’ll provide you with a product development plan that will include timelines for your specific project.

Here are a few examples of some of the project phases:

Prior Art Search – 1-2 weeks

Concept Design – 2-3 weeks

Prototyping – 2-8 weeks

Sell Sheet Design – 1 week

When should I apply for a patent?

Applying for a patent can take time. As soon as you are sure that you would like to manufacture a product, the patent process should be started. We will help you with the prior art search and market search, and refer you to our vetted network of trusted patent attorneys to help you through the process.

Should I build a business around my idea? Or license it?

This is an individual choice, and it largely depends on your product, your expectations, and the complexities that come with each project. Our team will help you navigate this path and give you the information you need to make an intelligent and informed decision that will best fit you and your product.
