What the client said

★★★★★

Konstantin has been so amazing and his entire team is A+. I researched and interviewed many product development companies across the country and ultimately decided on LA NPDT... and I'm so glad I did.

The attention to detail and overall effort has been exactly what I needed and then some. I look forward to moving on to many more phases of this process with Konstantin and his team. If you are looking for a company to help you bring your product to life, look no further!

The client

For parents Will and Amanda Evans, nightly burping sessions with their newborn were filled with spit-ups, laundry, and frustration. Traditional cloths weren’t enough to protect clothes or furniture.
They needed a safer, cleaner way to manage the mess. When Will filed a patent for his concept and turned to LA NPDT, we helped bring it to life through our turnkey product development process tailored for the baby care industry.

The challenge

The patent described the idea, not the product. A shoulder-mounted catcher has to stay put on a moving parent, sit against a newborn's face without pressure or suffocation risk, hold liquid without wicking it into clothing, survive daily dishwasher cycles, and still pass children's product safety testing, all at a price a new parent will pay on impulse.

Our solution

We began with a patent drawing and a simple goal, to create a shoulder-mounted burp catcher that actually works. Our product design and engineering teams developed ergonomic shapes, refined materials, and ensured the product met every baby safety requirement.
Multiple prototypes were created and tested using soft, food-grade silicone to balance flexibility, comfort, and spill control. Through user testing and design refinement, Burple evolved into a product that combines safety, ease, and delight for both parent and baby.

Key design features

  • Detachable soft fabric liner for gentle contact with baby’s face.
  • BPA-free, food-grade silicone that’s hypoallergenic and durable.
  • Waterproof and dishwasher-safe body for effortless cleaning.
  • Soft internal sponge insert for extra absorption and comfort.
  • Portable and lightweight, rolls up easily to fit into diaper bags.

We didn’t just design the product; we helped build a company from scratch.
Our support included everything from the brand name and logo to packaging design, website development, safety testing, photography, video, and digital marketing content.

From napkin sketch to nationwide sales, turnkey innovation for modern parenting.

Building the Brand: Naming, Identity & Digital Presence

We helped name the product “Burple”, a playful, memorable name that captures both the sound of a burp and the joy of parenting. The branding reflected the values of simplicity, cleanliness, and love.
Our creative team designed the logo, packaging, and a clean, modern website with messaging that connects emotionally with new parents. The tagline “Embrace the joy of parenthood, minimize the mess” became the voice of the brand.
Professional photography, animations, and a promotional video brought the story to life, giving Burple a strong visual identity and digital presence ready for market launch.

What did LA NPDT actually do on Burple?

Everything between the patent drawing and the product on sale: industrial design and engineering, silicone prototypes tested by real parents, design for manufacturing, tooling and first-run production oversight, children's safety certification support, the Burple name and logo, packaging, photography and video, and the e-commerce website. One team, one point of contact. Tell us where your product sits today and we will map the same path for it.

How does a patent drawing become a manufactured product?

We re-drew the concept in CAD as a real part — wall thicknesses, shore hardness, draft, parting lines — then printed and cast prototypes parents wore during actual feedings. Each round tightened comfort, spill capture and cleaning. Only after the shape was proven did we cut tooling and supervise the first batch. Send us your patent or sketch and we will quote the engineering step.

How was children's product safety handled?

Baby products sold in the US need testing at a CPSC-accepted lab and a Children's Product Certificate. We chose materials that could pass, prepared the documentation, coordinated the lab work and the client received the certificate before launch. If you are entering the baby category, ask us for the certification checklist during your first call.

Can you run the same full turnkey program for my baby or consumer product?

Yes — turnkey is our core offer: design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, brand, packaging and launch under one contract. Share your idea and we come back with a phased plan, cost range and timeline, usually within one business day.
