A custom website design company builds a site around your actual sales process instead of forcing your business into a purchased template.

This oil and gas client got exactly that: a custom-designed site with a structure built around how their technical buyers actually evaluate and contact suppliers.

The challenge

TC Renfrow - Website Design by LA New Product Development Team
Our custom website design company was challenged to build a fresh, attractive marketing website design for a well-established company providing transportation solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry. Our primary initiative was to generate an online presence through the website design process and convert website visitors into leads.

Our solution

T.C. Renfrow’s new marketing website design is built upon the brand’s mission and objectives of being a reliable problem solver for Oil & Gas industry. By adhering to tested user experience practices and HubSpot methodologies, our custom website design company crafted a user-friendly website from start to finish. Upon arrival, visitors are introduced to the services TC Renfrow has to offer and the main call to action (CTA). The company’s capabilities and capacities are listed on the visually appealing, infographical way that catches the attention of the visitors.
After completion of this project, our client now has an attractive, user-friendly marketing website design that allows the company to stand out from the typical piping companies. Prospective customers can easily find necessary information without being overwhelmed. Follow the lead of T.C. Renfrow Companies, LLC and refresh your brand with us through the website design process!

Why a template did not fit

Technical catalogs break templates. Products have specification tables, configuration options, certification documents and datasheets that buyers download before they ever fill in a form. We designed the page types around that content instead of forcing the content into stock layouts.

What the build included

  • Product page type with spec tables, downloads and related equipment
  • Search and filtering across the catalog
  • Content model so new products are added without a developer
  • Performance work for slow field connections
  • Lead routing to the right regional sales contact

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom website cost?

Custom builds typically run $12,000-$50,000 depending on catalog size and integrations.

Custom or template - how do I choose?

If your products need structured data, filtering or configuration, custom pays for itself. Brochure sites usually do not need it.

Can you migrate our existing content?

Yes, including redirects so existing search rankings are preserved.

When custom beats a template

  1. 1. Structure around how buyers decide

Site architecture should mirror the questions a buyer asks in order. For technical B2B, that means specifications and capability depth up front — not a carousel of stock photography.

  2. 2. Design for the search terms that matter

Every page should have a job and a query it answers. Custom design lets page templates match content types instead of squeezing everything into one theme layout.

  3. 3. Make the conversion path obvious

Technical buyers want a quote, a spec sheet, or a person. Whichever it is, it should be reachable from every page without hunting.

  4. 4. Build it to be maintained

A custom site your team cannot update becomes a stale site. Content management and clear editing patterns are part of the deliverable, not an upsell.

How much does a custom website cost?

A custom-designed business site typically runs $5,000 to $30,000 depending on page count, integrations, and whether content is provided or created.

Is a custom website worth it over a template?

It is when the site is a real sales channel. If it is a business card, a good template is a fine choice — the value of custom comes from structure and conversion, not from looking different.

How long does a custom website take?

Six to twelve weeks for most business sites, with content production usually the critical path rather than design or development.
